We all want to take care of our babies in the best way possible. Part of this entails being with them as often as possible. Regular Strollers
If you won’t be doing much traveling, then a regular stroller is best. Regular strollers are heavier and don’t fold as well as umbrella strollers. You’d probably want to use this stroller for neighborhood walks. They offer you comfort, but you’d find them inconvenient for longer walks
Most regular strollers can fold completely flat and, therefore, can accommodate very young babies. You’ll also have little trouble fitting them on your car seat. For minor errands like shopping or only a stroll around your neighborhood, this is an ideal stroller
Umbrella Strollers
Umbrella strollers are the improved cousin to regular strollers. They are much lighter and can fold as easily as an umbrella. With this convenience, you can use them in longer commutes. For instance, an umbrella stroller would serve you well if you had to fly with your baby. You could easily fold the stroller when on the plane and store it away. Such convenience is what makes umbrella strollers shine.
There are, however, several drawbacks to umbrella strollers. You won’t get as much room in an umbrella stroller as you would in a regular stroller. Because they are ultra-basic, they tend to sacrifice space to make the stroller lighter. For most babies, this less room isn’t much of a problem.
Secondly, you cannot fold them flat to accommodate a newborn. You’d, therefore, use umbrella strollers for older babies who can at least sit.
